Joslyn Rechter

Mezzo Soprano Joslyn Rechter was born in Australia. She studied at the Sydney Conservatoium of Music, gaining a Bachelor of Music and a Diploma of Operatic Art. Ms. Rechter was awarded - a Brenda Elizabeth Edgerton Scholarship; a Big Brother Scholarship for study in England; ABC Concert Prize; Temple Square Concert Series Prize; David and Winifred Green Prize. Recipient - 1993 Lauris Elms Award in the City of Sydney Performing Arts College. Finalist - 1991 Joan Sutherland Society Scholarship, having won the aria and oratorio sections. Finalist - Mathy Awards, 1995. Winner - 1996 Sydney Savage Club Award. She has appeared in many operas, including roles in The Magic Flute, Faust and La Traviata, and has also performed in concerts throughout Australia.
