The yagna is to be conducted as a fitting finale to the koti archana of Lalitha Sahasranama, which was started with the blessings of the acharyas of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam on 30 May, 1999.

The koti archana been sustained by the active participation of devotees and, by the grace of the divine mother, is scheduled to be completed in the month of October, 1999.

The maha Yagna is being performed to invoke the blessings of Sri Chandika Paremeshwari  to bring peace, harmony and prosperity to the world and especially to our motherland.

The main focus of the programme will be the chanting of Sri  Durga Saptasathi 10 times.

The Durga Saptasathi - a collection of 700 slokas is considered the most powerful hymns in praise of Maa Durga to invoke the blessings of the devi

The other features in the programme include  Veda Parayanam,Sri maha Ganapathi Homam, Sri Raja Matangi Homam, Navagraha Homam ,Sri Sudarshana homam.

Sri Vidya Upasakar- Brahmasri S.Bhairava Sasthrigal of Sri Guhananda Mandalai ,Pudukottai, assisted by other SriVidya Acharyas will conduct the yagna.


How can you take part in this holy endeavour-
 
You may send monetary contributions by way of cheque or demand draft drawn in favour of "Ved Bhavan Bhajan Samaj".All contributions are exempt under section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act"
