More Info. About Me!!

Personal Stuff:

Born on 9/23/81 at 8:48 p.m. in St. Paul, NE.

I have lived in Alma since I was a couple months old.

School: A key to life. I find it easy at times but then hard at other times.

Went to Alma Grade School, Kindergarten through Eigth Grade.

Currently attending Wabaunsee High School and planning on going to Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS to major in Civil Engineering.

Sports: They have always been a big part of my life. I am very competitive.

Competed in "Play Day" in 1st grade through 5th grade. It was pretty competitive back then. So was lunch time football and kickball-Many, Many fights!!

Then there was football, basketball, and track in junior high. I was the tailback( smaller, faster running back) and also defensive back. I was good. Then I was a starter as a 7th grader for the 8th grade team. I could really shoot the ball. I also played in 8th grade but the new coach wouldn't let me shoot the ball. In junior high track I ran the 800, 100, triple jump, high jump, 4 x 100 relay and 4 x 400 relay (I did these at different meets). I grew to love the 800 by the end of my 8th grade year in which I was only 3 hundreths of a second from beating the school record.

Then came high school sports which are extremely competitive. As a freshman I had to choose whether to run cross country, play football, or do both. I decided on football since I was good at football and all my friends played football-Big mistake. I did have a lot of fun playing football including returning a interception at the last second for a TD against a huge rival JF team-we beat them 34-7 (that broke their streak of beating both our teams which had been for a while). Then I played Freshman bball. We had a bad team-we only won like 5 games. Then track came along. There were 4 seniors who I ran close to. They formed the 4 x 800 relay. I worked hard all season and half way through the season one got sick and I took his spot. My best 800 time that year was a 2:05 which is pretty darn fast. We only lost once and that was to a 6A school(Seaman H.S.). We won the state championship by 8 seconds and we were only a second from beating the state record. If the announcer would have mentioned that we were on pace to beat the record I think we could have done it.

Then my sophomore year I decided to play both football and cross country. I still played a good amount in football but I did awesome in cross country. I won the regional and placed 8th at state. Then I played bball again but on the JV team. We kicked butt-we only lost 2 or 3 games. I suited and played very sparingly in the varsity games. Then in track with the seniors gone I decided to try the mile and 2 mile. At regionals I ran a personal record/best of 4:41 which is also the new school record. Then I ran a PR/PB at state in the 2 mile with a 10:24.
