December 2-6: All parents' week, where the parents come to observe my classes. So far, my reviews have been good, but this has been so stressful! The kids are so nervous they can't remember anything, and really, the class is kind of a waste. My Tokadai kids went positively crazy.

December 4: I met Takashi, a new pen pal from Komaki, tonight. We went out for Italian food and drinks, and had a lot of fun. We just hung out and chatted. I drank something alcoholic called apple ginger ale, which gave me a mild, pleasant buzz. (Cheap drunk that I am, it usually only takes one drink to do so) Takashi lived in LA for awhile, so he has a pretty good handle on English.

December 7: Today was a quiet day. It was raining, so i just did laundry and watched a movie Rachael sent me. A very nice day.
