Looking for Walkers & Volunteers

This is the part where I ask everyone for a little help. The Arthritis and Diabetic walks are coming up in a few weeks and we are looking for walkers and volunteers to walk and help out at both of them.  I'd love to see everyone out to each of them if possible.  If you need transportation, please let me know and we'll arrange something.  And thank you to everyone in advance.  Here are the details:

A Joint Walk-Run

Date: September 19, 2004

Time: Registration:10:30 am / Walk starts at 12:00 pm

Place: The Greendale YMCA

Participants have the choice of a 5K or 1-mile scenic route. The activities don't stop once you've crossed the finish line. Be sure to stick around for the Post-Event Celebration featuring entertainment, food and valuable health information.

America's Walk for Diabetes

Date: October 17, 2004

Time: Registration: 9:30 am / Walk starts at 12:00 pm

Place: Greenhill Park, Worcester, Ma

Join us at beautiful Green Hill Park in the heart of Worcester and take steps toward a cure. Walk one, two, or three miles on Green Hill's tree-lined walking paths. Since walking with family and friends is more fun, consider forming a team of 5 or more people for the walk. At the Finish Line Party enjoy a delicious lunch from Outback Steakhouse, music, family entertainment, raffles, and more!

By participating in America's Walk for Diabetes you are taking steps toward a cure; however, collecting pledges is what funds research, advocacy, and services for people in Massachusetts who are living with diabetes. Help us reach our goal of $150 per walker to help those dealing with the daily challenges of diabetes in your community.
