Introduction
First
there were con artists, who hustled on the street, then
“dirty work”
evolved
into the work place, soon afterwards
scams of all kinds grew like wildfire. Low down, underhanded,
things such as this are at an all time high, especially the
ones that are taking place on the internet. There are certain
precautions that you must take at all times when dealing with
the web. In order for someone to be protected from an online
scandal they shouldn’t give out personal information
on the internet, and they must realize that everything they
see or hear is not true.
History
Online
scams always seem to promise you some type of instant wealth
(i.e. get rich quick). You should
automatically know that it is a scam when they ask for money
up front. Always remember that nothing in this world is free,
everything comes with a price, whether it be identify theft
or just money. There is also a thing called pyramid selling
scams that is widely known on the net. In order for this to
work, you have to recruit people to make money, and then the
recruits also need to recruit new people so that they can
make money. The main catch in this scam is that only the people
at the ''top" of the pyramid will benefit (Online
Scams).
