PLACEMENT OF IMAGES ARE INDEPENDENT OF LAYER DEFINITION
BUT ... shouldn't the 1st image overlap the layer? The layer now looks like it's TOP=50, LEFT=25?(using Frontpage)
Now with Dreamweaver it DOES overlap.

It does now, using Dreamweaver.
While the LAYER remains Explicitly placed.
