Well everyone, we're still gutting it out here in New Orleans. We're back out on Jackson Square, so you'll find us there Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and maybe a bit during the week.

We have an address! Our new house will be being built at 4015 North Derbigny Street here in New Orleans. We're so excited! Complete with a big back yard (well, by city standards), we're going to be trying our hands at urban independence trying to grow our own food and installing solar panels. Other projects will include (but not limited to) rainwater and grey water reclamation and getting a new tour bus to replace the one that drowned in the storm and converting it to veggie/biodiesel. Unfortunately, Louisiana doesn't have any grant programs for residential solar power, at least not that I've found yet! Let's see how we can do as urban homesteaders!
