A nice article we were featured in was the December 2004 issue of New Orleans
local rag "Where Y'at". Here's what they had to say:
Street Musicians of the French Quarter
by Phil LaMancusa
Willow has been a musician from the age of fourteen. His life’s ambition is
still realized over 30 years later as he sets up daily in front of the
Presbytere on Jackson Square. With his enchanting wife, Tara, on drums and
joined at times by other musicians, he stops passersby in their tracks with his
deep and very professional voice and style of country rock and soul.
Raised in Austin, Texas, it was love at first sight when he paid a visit to the
French Quarter during his youth. After a stint here in the early ‘70s, he
garnered a contract to record in California, and after some years yearned for
the simpler life. My guess is that it was a “how much Hollywood can you take”
realization that finally – and thankfully – brought him and his family back to
where they belong.
