Additional Background Information: At BMI.com, the writer for Loop De Loop is now credited only to Teddy Vann. Joe Dong also might have been the name of one of Teddy's relatives. This record was the biggest hit Diamond Records ever had, reaching #4 on Billboard and selling more than one million copies. The Bobbettes, who would also have releases on Diamond Records shortly after this one, provided the background vocals for these early Johnny Thunder records (an LP was recorded following the hit single, and was released in both mono and true stereo pressings).
