Now for Kirby, she is our lovely daughter, who is now 15 years old and attends Pendleton Heights High School. She is an excellent student and a fun girl! But that is all I am allowed to say. There is an unspoken embarrassment law at her age; I will respect that. (But I may sneak a few things in every now and then... stay tuned)

As for me, I am Karin and my hobbies and interests include (but are not limited to) Writing, Genealogy, Antiques, Gardening and Collecting Fiestaware.

If you ask my family, they will tell you it is more of an addiction. There is no known cure for this ailment, in fact, it only gets worse! Somehow over the last few years, I have been nominated the "Family Historian". The keeper of records, old family photos, etc...It is a job I accept with honor!!

When I'm not digging up bones, I am digging in the yard, I really enjoy landscaping. My next project will be a water garden, which I am eagerly awaiting more information before I begin. In the mean time, I guess the big ole hole in the back yard will do for a water garden! Jay started digging a lake in the back yard a few months ago. (I guess when you buy a new excavator, you must put it to good use.) Since he broke ground, we have seen many new forms of wildlife on the Reichart Ranch. Cranes (we call them Frasier and Niles) snapping turtles, rabbits, coyotes and golden hawks. If I can get my scanner back up and running, I will show some photos I have shot. I also enjoy collecting (okay hoarding) FIESTAWARE. I collect the "New" fiesta, although I do have a few older pieces that my Mother- in-Law has found at auctions for me. She has a fine collection of "Old" Fiesta nesting in her china cabinet; she started collecting Fiesta when it was still sold at local grocery stores.
