Frank is an English Black Labrador, and weighs in a
whopping 100 pounds! He will be 2 years old in December and is still in that "lab brat" stage!
We got him a mate in June of '99, her name is Mariah. She is a sweet natured Chocolate Lab, who sometimes gets highly
annoyed at Frank's juvenile antics! She is a sweet, petite 53 pounds, but she has made it quite clear that SHE
wears the pants in the family! She came into heat immediately after arriving at our home and
the result is a litter of
Five Brownies and four Blackies, all doing fantastic! They were raised in a make shift welping box
(courtesy of Little Tykes) We have been having a ball with the little critters! Sometimes they
slide down the slide, with a little help from Kirby of course! Even Frank gets a chance to nudge them
every now and then (when he is not being rowdy!)
And speaking of Frank,
this greeting card was sent to him by my good
friend and cousin, H.R. Pence, it bears a remarkable resemblance to him and
came with the following message:
" Frank,
You are probably not the center of
attention right now because you
didn't just give birth and you are not a
cute, little, cuddly, wuddly, sweet,
baby lab puppy.
So this card is just for YOU!
Have Karin and Kirby give you a hug
and a kiss. Oh! And congratulations,
dad, on fathering the best looking
labrador puppies in the west!
Don't worry, Frank, those little ear tugging, tail grabbing, feet biting rug rats will
soon be grown and gone. Then you will again be the King Of The House!!
And Karin will get some rest too!!! From one dog lover to another!" I plan to put more pet stuff here soon, I have not even got started on Eli the Grande!
