On your first birthday, April 1991
We gave you a piece of a brownie
You were more than just our dog
You were a large part of the family.
The summer you caught a rabbit
Is a memory that makes me smile
You were full of kindness & love
Times with you were worthwhile.
The first time you opened the fridge
Is a memory that still makes me laugh
You always leaning out my car window
What I wouldn't give to again see that.
The vet told us you had kidney failure
And in July 2000, you left our lives
You may have joined Grandma in Heaven
But in our minds you'll always be alive.
