Our Heavenly Father
Thousands of years have passed
Since our heavenly Father's birth
Teaching us memorable lessons
The three decades he walked Earth.
He taught us the commandments
And then taught us to love
He taught us to worship one God
His Holy father, in the skies above.
We watched him create miracles
And carve commandments in stone
Everyone heard His sermon on the mount
And we learned to love Jesus as our own.
We saw our Savior carry his cross
And tears of sadness filled our eyes
Soldiers cracked the whip on his back
As we watched our Jesus be crucified.
Three days later, from the tomb he rose
Then descended into Heaven to his throne
One day, we'll be with our Father again
As He welcomes us into our eternal home.
