Ford Crown Victoria (P71 Police Interceptor)- Bronze paint and traditional markings returned as the standard ISP patrol vehicle in early 2001.

Ford Crown Victoria- the standard ISP patrol vehicle up to 1998

Ford Crown Victoria- DARE-trained Trooper with emblem on rear doors. The ISP is ending program participation in Fall 2001 due to budget cuts.

Chevrolet Caprice- one of the final of the breed. ISP vehicles are usually retired at the 70k mile mark, so the final retirement will likely come in 2000.

Rear photo of Caprice- STATE TROOPER on trunk lid, decals for State Patrol emergency number and SEAT BELT USE REQUIRED on rear bumper. The decal below license plate is an ETHANOL (corn alcohol used as a fuel additive) sticker, state mandated on every Iowa government vehicle.
