Almost a week since I've updated, sorry
about that. Anyway, I've now posted the source to 4.0 Beta 2 (Final update of version 4)
so check that out. Also, version 5 is well underway, screen shots should be up hopefully
by early April. I'm still looking for anyone interested in joining the project, for this
program really to become extensive, outside help will be required, so please let me know
if you're interested at all. Thanks!

I haven't gotten nearly as much done as
I would have liked, but that's mainly a lack of self motivation. Anyway, what little I
have done looks fairly decent, some early screenshots should be up fairly soon. Stay
tuned.

I'm on vacation, so hopefully I can get
a lot of work done on Version 5. I'm done with Version 4, but the I'm planning on using
the same engine, so any bug reports from V4 would still be appreciated. Check out the
release notes for specs on V5, and let me know if you have any other ideas.

After much frustration trying to fix
the carrige return bug, I scrapped the function which handled returns during deletes and
backspaces. (this was where the problem was) This was done for 2 reasons: 1-The routine
was very complex, and I had trouble following it logically even though I wrote it. 2-It
was just plain long and ugly. It never worked right, I had already had troubles with it. I
rewrote the function, it's much cleaner now, and about 14 lines shorter. (was 56, didn't
work, now 42, and it works) The program is still beta, but this may stand as the final
version 4 if everything actually does work. Grab the beta 2 from the download page now,
and please tell me about any bugs!

Last night I had a long chat on IM with
the creator of QBWrite. Although I'm still unsure as to what his real name is, Mr. UWLabs
had some really interesting things to say. Unfortunately, he declined to join the project
for reasons of time (he has none), but he was still able to give many great tips, and we
discussed "cache" routines at length. If you have used QBW, you can testify to
its strong GUI. Hopefully, using the ProWriter engine (and yes, we did determine it to be
better on the whole), the GUI for the ProWriter can be updated, and features added. I'm
currently working on fixing the carriage return bug, and hope to get out a new beta soon.

Official beginning of the ProWriter web
site, with the first release of the ProWriter Beta. At this point, the project is
closed-source, but if there is any displayed interest in development, please let me know.
I'm always looking for people to work on to this program, I think it will be much better
is there's some other contributions besides my own.
