Peek-A-Boo Egg

Good luck and enjoy !

Blown Eggs
Blown Eggs Step 1 Blown Eggs Step 2
To make this cut-out egg, you will first need to start with a blown out egg. Poke a needle into the pointed end of a raw egg. You may need to hold the needle with a rubber jar gripper to get a good hold on it. Poke it through several times to make sure you puncture the membrane that lies under the shell. Turn the egg over and repeat to the other side making this hole a little larger. Hold the egg over a bowl, and with your lips, blow through the smaller hole. If the egg won't go through, you may have to make the bottom hole a little larger. When the egg finishes draining, rinse under cold water. You can dye or decorate the egg only after it's had time to thoroughly dry.

Dye the blown out eggs as you would normally. Let them dry. Draw an oval or circle on the egg with the pencil. Cut carefully along the line with the scissors. Small pointy scissors work best. Cut out a small picture out of a magazine and glue inside the egg. Or you may glue a miniature chick or bunny toy inside. Glue rickrack, braid, ribbon or sequins around the opening to cover where you cut it out. You can also glue a small ribbon loop on top to make an Easter tree. Or, you may glue a small piece of cardboard on the bottom of the egg to make it stand up.
