Enter Cybertronian Alpha:

Ambassadors, military personal and various others begin to arrive at the newly built Maximal space station, Cybertronian Alpha. Some have peace on their minds and some have ‘other’ things. Quade, the station commander, is adjusting to his new post as is the rest of his crew – some faster then others. Quade reveals himself to be Jungle’s brother.

As the last few ambassadors arrive, something goes terribly wrong. The docking doors un-expectantly close on the vessel carrying Tyre, the Predacon Alliance ambassador. The result is the ship being torn in half. Half of the ship explodes in space while the other half crashes into the docking bay. No survivors are found and tensions on the station begin to erupt.

Various alien governments blame the Maximals for the incident and riots begin to occur on the station. To help calm things, Quade commissions a Predacon security force, led by Edge. Despite talks with the newly appointed Predacon Ambassador Blackarachina of Beast Wars fame, the situation remains unresolved.

An investigation headed by Icerunner reveals that Tyre was alive and responsible for his own assassination, with the aid of Transformers from all four of the Transformer factions. The overall objective of this ‘four faction group’ was to spark a galactic war which would weaken all the major governments enough for them to move in and take over.

The Predacon fleet that was sent to commandeer the station was diverted thanks to Icerunner’s revelations and life begins to turn back to normal on the station. But not all ends well as the Carbation Empire announces a declaration of war against all the Transformer factions, using Tyre’s actions as an excuse.

A Mid Summer Night’s Dream:

Repairs to the station are well underway and the station is filled with new arrivals. The assassination scandal is still on the minds of everyone and the thought of war still rings in the air. Unexpectedly the station is hit by a 'strange beam', knocking everyone on the station, offline/unconscious.

Everyone awakens soon after and goes about their routines, but questions still remain. Several crew members begin to report having trouble reading and others such as Heretic and Oracle begin to have ‘visions’.

Unfortunately, Quade has his own problems at the moment as the Maximal High Council has un-expectantly handed control of the station over to the Predacon Alliance. On top of that, the Maximal High Council had decided to give the Carbation Empire large amounts of Maximal territory. This is all part of a new peace treaty. Quade begins to feel that the price of peace may be too high.

As the situation grows dimmer, enough strange happenings occur which convince the crew that everything occurring since the beam hit the station is nothing more then a dream. But then comes the question of how to wake up?

It is decided by Icerunner that the creation of a large explosion in the dream world would over load the systems that are controlling the dream in the real world. The theory being that the equipment responsible for all this should only be able to a handle so much neural energy at once.

The dream station is therefore blown up and the crew awakens with large headaches and surrounded by Quintessons and Sharkticons. A battle occurs and in the end, the Quintessons flee the station, but not before mentioning something about a ‘greater force’ that is coming. The Sharkticons are dealt with by being lowered into a cargo bay by the scent of energon and are subsequently blown out of the station. The scheme was devised by Temperance.

Several were killed in the course of things, including Quade's first officer. Thus Quade chooses Edge to fill the void. Quade is then recalled to Cybertron.

Also an alien known as CaVin arrives on the station, to open his bar. Heretic who is functioning as the head of station security, expects nothing short of trouble from CaVin.

Meanwhile, Volotar remains attached to the dream equipment as he will not wake up.

Enter the Red Stars:

Quade returns to the station with three ships belonging to a new class of warship dubbed ‘Red Stars’. The ships are very small, fast and highly maneuverable and pack a tremendous amount of fire power – perhaps too much for their small size. A unique ability for the ships is the fact that they can enter ‘Red Space’. Red Space being a recently discovered subspace layer. Travel via that route allows detection to be avoided. Traveling through Red Space can be compared to flying through a giant red cloud.

Quade announces plans from the Maximal High Council to enter Carbation space and liberate prisoners on an asteroid prison. In addition to the humanitarian aspects, the mission is to help show the kind of power that the Maximals have at their disposal in order to attempt to calm the Carbation’s war rally.

En-route, a distress signal is received from a transport ship. When the Red Stars arrive, they find that an ‘organicship is attacking the transport and that the organic ship is commanded by Megatron, the famous Predacon rogue of Beast Wars fame. A battle occurs and Icerunner and Squirrely board the organic ship. Icerunner finds that the organic ship shares DNA similar to that of beast warrior Transformers.

Megatron receives orders that the ‘test’ is over and implies that he is working for the ‘Greater Force’ to Icerunner and Squirrely. Megatron poisons the organic ship and vanishes in a flash of light.

Realizing that its end was near, the organic ship transports Icerunner and Squirrely back to the safety of the Red Stars. When the organic ship explodes, an energy rift is created that catapults the Red Stars quite some distance.

A Maximal distress signal is picked up from a near by planet and the Red Star commanded by Quade investigates, leaving the other two behind to finish repairs.

Due to atmospheric storms, Quade's ship crashes near the source of the signal. It was revealed that the signal was sent from a crashed MSP ship, commanded by DeVin. DeVin convinces Quade and his crew to help her and her agents fight the inhabitants of the planet, which they believed to be working for the Carbation Empire. Quade agrees to help and the battle begins.

During the battle, Quade announces how he does not feel that the creatures are the Maximal's enemies. DeVin is enraged by this and orders her agents to attack Quade and his crew. During the battle, a bomb hooked to a large energon deposit is set up by DeVin's agents. The bomb is discovered only cycles before the detonation time.

The other Red Star ships arrive at the planet and evacuate everyone off the planet, except for the natives who refuse to leave their home. The remaining two Red Stars take off and go to transwarp. A few moments later, the long range sensors pick up a explosion. It is then that the crew realizes that Icerunner is not among them. They deduce that she must of been left behind on the planet and believe her to be dead.

DeVin offers her help in attacking the prison. Quade reluctantly agrees and the remaining two Red Star Ships head to the prison to carryout their original mission. Jungle is revealed to be one of the prisoners there as the Maximal prison he was serving his sentence out at was attacked during a Carbation raid. DeVin uses all the commotion of the battle to steal a Carbation shuttle and escape.

With the aid of Jungle and the rest of the prisoners, the prison is liberated. The Red Stars drop Jungle and the other prisoners off at Cybertron and head back to Cybertronian Alpha.

The Beginning of the End:

The Red Stars arrive back at the station, only to find that several changes have occurred. After an investigation, it was revealed that Volotar, who had not been released from the Quintessons's dream generation devises, had somehow merged with the station's main computer and had thus begun to recreate the station in his own image. The result was a far superior station.

This event attracts a great deal of attention. Even the attention of the ‘Greater Force’ is gained. Organic ships therefore arrive and attack the station. Quade orders the station evacuated and has the two Red Stars cover the escape ships. Most of the escape ships are able to leave the area with out incident as the organic ships were only targeting the station itself.

Once all escape ships are clear, Quade activates the station’s self destruct sequence and he along with Temperance evacuate the station in the last remaining escape ship. The main computer core of the station which now contains Volotar's conscience is taken with them as well.

The station explodes, taking a number of organic ships with it.

Quade is left hoping that peace did not end with the station.
