General Description:

The ships are very small, fast and highly maneuverable and pack a tremendous amount of fire power – perhaps too much for their small size. For ease of description, simply picture a ‘war bird,’ from Star Trek the Next Generation. Replace the green coloration with a red one and remove the hole along its center. Then on the wings, add a trio of launchers.

A unique ability for the ships is the fact that they can enter ‘Red Space’. Red Space being a recently discovered subspace layer. Travel via that route allows detection to be avoided. Traveling through Red Space can be compared to flying through a giant red cloud.

The ships are the latest evolution of the line of Red Star class vessels. Like their counterparts, they are very small, fast and highly maneuverable and pack a tremendous amount of fire power. For ease of description, simply picture a ‘smaller’ version of a Red Star. Then elongate the wings and replace the trio of launchers with a set of five.

The Red Star Omegas can enter ‘Red Space’, as well. Red Space being a recently discovered subspace layer. Travel via that route allows detection to be avoided. Traveling through Red Space can be compared to flying through a giant red cloud.

A unique ability for the Red Star Omegas is their ability to ‘link up’, or the ‘hell storm effect’ as it has become known. By use of ‘energy bands’ several ships form a circle. The circle then spins around, allowing the RSO’s to quite literally cut threw enemy lines.

The Oasis fleet was specially designed for one specific purpose: seek out the Greater Force home world. Each ship is built with an array of weapons making it more than capable to defend itself. To have the manpower for the fleet, the MIS cloned and built a breed of Maximals loyal to the cause and designed specifically for space combat.
