Hi,Welcome to my City.A City situated in an ideal surrounding between the Krishna River and udameru, its tributary. The third largest City in Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is also the biggest-railway junction in the country. The Mogalrajapuram caves, Kanakadurga Temple, Prakasam Barrage, Gundala Church and Gandhi Stupa on Gandhi Hill are some of the places worth a visit.

Situated in idyllic surroundings between the Krishna river and its tributary Budameru, Vijayawada is the heart of Andhra Pradesh. Telugu culture, tradition and ethos abound here. Interestingly, Vijayawada is the second largest commercial centre in Andhra Pradesh, next only to Hyderabad.

Important places at Vijayawada include the famous Prakasam barrage, the 1223.5 m. long road bridge across the Krishna river; the Kanakadurga temple atop the Indrakila Hill; the ogalarajapuram caves that date back to the 5th century AD and contain the idols of Lord Nataraja, Vinayaka and a

one-of-kind Ardhanareeshwar Murthy. There are also a number of Siva and Vishnu temples in the city.

1.Kondapalle

The city is a home to maser craftsmen who make colourful wooden toys. The Virupaksha Temple is situated here amidst serene surroundings.

About 16 kms. from Vijayawada lies Kondapalli, the home of the eye-catching Kondapalli toys.
A 14th century fort built by the Reddy Kings is also located here.
