This is most definitely an incredible game. The graphics are simply the BEST of any Playstation RPG. And the FMV is amazing too. Many of the creators of Xenogears, and most of the original Chrono Trigger designers worked on Chrono Cross, so that should tell you something. The music and sound is in the top 5 of all time for sure. The plot is very complex, and the gameplay, while not very varied, is very non-linear. The downsides to Chrono Cross are that the world itself is much too small, with inly a few towns, and not many challenging dungeons.There are 40+ characters, and while thats a good thing, it presents the same problem that both Suikoden's did, the lack of a connection with the characters. The journey centers around Serge, Harle, and Kid, but even the main characters are very bland. I would expect better from Square on this issue. All in all, this is an excellent game, and should be but by anyone, RPG fan ot not, gor its fun gameplay, and excellent graphics and story.
