"A Special Rose"

cji
3/29/99

Verse 1

Its petals softened
in the rain of summer
and the cool evening
breeze of spring and fall,
as a heart with tender
love and understanding;
this was no ordinary rose
yet one tended to be
the master gardener
and no one else.

Verse 2
********

Its colors indescribable
as it was not one
but in the light
it deepened or shaded
to attract not attention
but respect and love;
for in the hues of morning
and bright rays of the day
then the subtle moon glow,
it was different always.

Verse 3
********

This is Halle's rose
whom we would call
Catherine at times
but it is not always;
for the rose is always
illusive to the eye
and Halle's gentle spirit
would have one and all
to share the beauty
she's sees gently blossom.

Verse 4
********

So for another it might be
a Tiffany, or Stefany;
to Suzanne a Heidi;
to Linda a Jason;
to Debi a Sarah or Kevin;
mattereth not the name
or the who for Halle's rose
is always in wonder
of the love and tenderness
of the summer's rain.
