years ago Gilpin has been writing songs since he
was eleven. His talent was honed by a musical family
in Belfast; a brother and sister who taught him
to play the guitar and his mother, a music teacher,
and ccomplished pianist. Later guitar lessons are
attributed to Victor Mc cCullough, Ian Smith and
Ted Ponsonby"

"In the distance can you hear, hear the trumpets
sound?
Sound a battlecry, cry out loud
'Love casts out all fear', fear it wears a shroud,
Gotta trade in your old clothes, anticipate the wedding
gown"
You coaxe a devil out of me -
In memory of the late Rev. Sydney Callaghan O.B.E.
