Friends of the Lair: Musicians, Artists, Composers, and Other Dangers to the Status Quo

This mix of stuff is a by-no-means-complete listing of the websites of my favorite musical artists whom I have encountered over the years, and a whole bunch more besides. My musical tastes have always been a little strange, and are getting weirder all the time. My own songs, of course, are among the weirdest ones I know. But anyway, here are some of the musicians that I have known and loved since my conversion to Folkism at the age of ten.

By the way, one of Seattle's favorite world music bands have a new Compilation CD out; and we only just heard about it: Best Qawwalis of Rizwan Muazzam Ali Khan. These guys were trained by none Other than Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan himself; and, being a Veteran qawwali concert-goer, I can vouch for the quality of this, one of Qawwali's best young ensembles! In fact, I've known these guys since they first took Seattle by storm in 1999 (#affiliatelink posted here) ...
