I'm Retired Captain Rick Ochsyp CO of the U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-A, Constitution class. This is a very famous ship as you may well know. There are two possible stories on how the Enterprise-A came into my possession. The first, for you Star Trek movie buffs, I took the old girl out of Moth Ball and she's been mine ever since. The second for those of you Trekkies who read the novels as well, I went back in time with the help of a traveler and replaced the Enterprise-A with another beat up Constitution class ship before it was destroyed in "The Ashes of Eden". The exchange happened so quick, no one could tell the difference. It just showed up as an energy surge from the warp core. So, again, the Enterprise-A has been mine ever since. Of course, there has been some modifications to bring her up to date with today's technology as you will see on the page Modifications of the Enterprise-A.
