BIOGRAPHY

At May 9th 1979, was a new star born: Rosario Dawson.
When Rosario was at the age of 15, she was discovered by Larry Clark, and she played her first movie role in "Kids". She played Ruby, a "free speaking sexually promiscuous teen" who gets tested for HIV exams after doing some "crazy, dangerous stuff".
After a break in 1996, she made 2 new movies in 1997: 'Side Streets' and 'Girls Night Out'. Her second big success came with the movie 'He Got Game', directed by Spike Lee in 1998. She played Lala, the girlfriend of the uncommonly-talented basketball player Jesus (Ray Allen).
There was a lot of controversy around this movie, because Rosario makes her first (and until now her only) nude scene.
Her next successful movie was 'Light It Up' (1999). She played the smart, brainy student Stephanie Williams, co-starring with R&B star Usher Raymond (he played Lester).
But in 2001, her best movie ever finally came out: 'Josie and the Pussycats'. Together with 'She's All That'-star Rachael Leigh Cook and Tara Reid ('American Pie').
Rosario is the bass player Valerie Brown. After the success of Josie and the Pussycats, came 'Sidewalks of New York'. She played Maria. In 2002 she is gonna star in Men In Black 2 and 'The First 20 Million'
