The Big Brass Band From Brazil

Three brothers down in Rio had a noisy family trio
Three piccollos that sounded mighty shrill
But their papa called it music so with his dough they planned
The big brass band from Brazil
So soon they sent to Cuba for some trumpets and a tuba
They figured that their relatives had skill
Papa's ears are stuffed with cotton but he still thinks they're grand
The big brass band from Brazil
Oh they practised all night long
But they only learned one song
So they played that same old phrase
Fourty seven different ways
There's first and second cousins and there's uncles by the dozens
They play as long as Papa pays the bill
And it's getting more expensive each time that they expand
The big brass band from Brazil
With cymbals and maracas they were hot as firecrackers
The night they played that concert on the hill
And they made it more exciting by crashing to the sand
The big brass band from Brazil
Oh they practised all night long
But they only learned one song
They don't need their drums at all
When the neighbors bang the walls
They caused a big sensation as they played across the nation
As long as something's different it's a thrill
And to keep Brazilian friendship the critics never panned
The big brass band from Brazil
Oh they practised all night long
But they only learned one song
People say that they'd be through
If they practised something new
