Reflections from the President

We're a little behind in our newsletter mailing, almost as behind as the arrival of spring. While the calendar heralds spring in March, some years we experience a few spring-like days beforehand. Those days were elusive this year; we had so much winter that by April many of us had become overanxious. The gusty winds and rains that felt colder than snow didn't help. So, when April's "Second Sunday" event at the Refuge & Nature Area arrived, we were desperate for nice weather. Luckily we were blessed with a perfect day and the few cold days following it were more bearable.

Since our last newsletter, we have been incredibly busy. Our project and event planning are cruising forward, with five new board members actively involved. So, take a few minutes to bring yourself up to date with Conservancy news you might have missed from the last six months.
