Thoroughly researched, it introduces artifacts both well and little known and possible explanations about their origin. It's an adventure, a mystery, and a tale of lovers that have traveled through time itself to find each other. A pageturner, absolutely non-graphic, yet filled with emotion. Entertainment for the entire family....

"Heart Bouquets"

Rated PG13
An Anthology of Love Stories
Composed of the following three Novellas
and Three Short Stories —

THE STORIES IN THIS ANTHOLOGY ARE ALSO SOLD AS INDIVIDUAL E-BOOKS.

   HEARTSONGS

In the darkness lit softly by a nightlight, Laura Sharon Dellisogni said her prayers and slid under her thick comforter. Her heart beat faster as she prepared to dream. She watched from behind closed eyelids, concentrating on the ultraviolet colors and shapes the nightlight and her own imagination created. What adventure would she live tonight? What song would her subconscious mind compose and her heart sing? What form would her soulmate take.... More

A romantic fantasy novella with a touch of the paranormal.

THE HEART CALLETH

Sandra marries the man of her dreams, knowing full well that his heart still belongs to his first wife, Laura, whom he adored, but who died in a devastating earthquake. For fifteen years Sandra has believed herself at "heaven's gates." Her life has been filled with her husband's respect and caring, five beloved children, and a simple, fulfilling, if hardworking life as a farmer's wife, until the morning when she answers the door, and Laura stands before her.....

A novella with drama, romance, adventure, and a touch of science fiction....

   THE SKETCHBOOK

Darn!" Mary Juliette muttered under her breath, and glanced out the window of the motor coach. She slid a little lower into her seat, and stamped her foot. She'd done it again. Once more her dark eyes had betrayed her attraction to a handsome face. And Hennessey wasn't the first male to quietly laugh at her....She was an incurable romantic, and the sort who showed her emotions readily. But the eighteen year-old who had started work as a typist seven years ago with not an unusual girl's fancy to meet "Mr. Right," was destined to be slowly disillusioned.... She was certain she'd find her "Mr. Right" among the pleasant-faced young men who worked alongside her in the bank. Thus, when a young man caught her fancy, her words and actions showed it clearly. And in her naivete, she expected him to respond in like manner. But the pleasant-faced young man had laughed behind her back and sometimes to her face, and the girls in the bank had tagged her "naive." They had also nicknamed her "MJ".....It had taken her a long time to accept the fact that her plainness and unpretentious character made her expectations improbable....When at twenty-five years of age, Mary Juliette announced she was taking a three-week vacation in South America, they were shocked and bewildered...."Why?" her father asked...."You just can't," her mother exclaimed. "A girl alone, and so far away!"...."I have to," Mary Juliette replied...."Why?" her father asked again....."Because that's where I'll find him."....."Who?"....."Mr. Right.".....Both parents thought she'd lost her mind.....No amount of arguing could dissuade her. And here she was in South America in a motor coach following an insane hunch that the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life was somewhere nearby waiting for her.... More

A novella of Adventure and Romance set in the Brazilian Amazon.

A Scent of Camellias

Meghan's spirit soared as the blind chorister's golden baritone filled the small church, his Alleluia chorus lifted downtrodden spirits and stirred idle emotions. Weekly she marveled at how this young man ignored his blindness and contributed to his parish. She knew very little about him, except that he wore dark glasses and a white choral robe, and knew how to smile, and did so, often, to his fellow choir members. Could she smile as often, if at all, in his place.....

A Valentine Bouquet

A true love story (my own). A Testimonial for Valentine's Day for young people. A true autobiographical love story from a Christian perspective.

The Lonely Heart

The Plainview Loop rounded the corner just as Beth Allison lowered a foot to step off the sidewalk. Rubber burned and screeched as the driver swung the bus away from Beth and applied the brakes. The noise magnified the headache Beth had nursed all day. Squinting, she turned her head abruptly toward the sound and lost her footing. She fell and landed in an undignified puddle of scholastic books, white fur jacket, drawstring purse, camel slacks, saddle leather boots, and a set each of uncoordinated arms and legs. She struggled on to her backside and sat there a moment, stunned. Regaining enough of her composure to gather her books and her purse, Beth climbed unsteadily to her feet. Taking a deep breath and straightening her shoulders, she glanced about her. Her gaze was drawn to the bus.....The driver, his badged, visored cap fitted closely to his temples, had opened the front doors and sat observing her grimly. Beth glared at him, forgetting in her embarrassment that she might be lying crushed under a huge wheel if he had not acted quickly and maneuvered the vehicle away from her.....The mouth under the full, dark mustache quirked in amazement. Beth ignored it, along with the prominent hand that tipped the visored cap back a fraction. But the eyes were another matter. They were dark and hypnotic, admonishing her at the same time they moved inquisitively over her tall, thin figure, appraising her state of health....

THE NOVICE'S GUIDE TO THE ART OF WRITING

In the creative process, never be reluctant to tap into your life experience. That is the easy part. What requires effort is creating a marketable work, in this course, a marketable short story. There are techniques, special keys that can unlock doors to the creation and salability of interesting and compelling works that editors will want to publish.

A MANUSCRIPT BECOMES MARKETABLE WHEN THE WRITING SEIZES THE INTEREST OF THE READER AND HOLDS IT.

This instructional e-book (also available as a paperback in standard print and also large text) introduces the novice writer to 12 keys to creating successfully a marketable short story of 5000 words or less, in three stages - beginning, middle and end.

Character, plot development, continuity, pacing, grammar, punctuation, dialogue, description, transition, genres, manuscript preparation, suggested books on writing, markets, and more, are covered within these parameters, along with four optional assignments geared to produce a short story ready for marketing.
