Greetings to Deaf Disc Golfers Everywhere!!

Y'all better be ready for the April 20th tourney

at Patapsco State Park in the beautiful state of Maryland!!

The discs will be flyin' and the chains will be rattlin'!

THE WASHINGTON METRO DEAF DISC GOLF TOURNAMENT

WHEN: APRIL 20, 2002

WHERE: Patapsco Valley State Park (PVSP)

Marriottsville, Maryland (Known as the McKeldin Area)

TIME: 9 A.M. (rain or shine!)

ENTRANCE FEE: $2 per Person entry fee to State Park.

(it does NOT go towards to Disc Golf Tournament!

It goes to help improve the State Park to keep visitors come back again.)

Come, one, come all,

for there is much fun and competition

in store at this beautiful state park about 40 minutes from DC and 25 minutes from Baltimore.

Compete for prizes during the day and at night enjoy the campfire as we brag about drives or putts that get longer and longer as the night goes on!

INFORMATION IS AS FOLLOWS

We will provide men's and women's divisions during the tournament,

This course is huge and it normally takes three hours to finish the full round,

and we will be playing two rounds during the day. :-)

There will be prizes awarded to the winners of the tourney.

There will be a camping site near the McKeldin Area of PVSP that is about 10 minutes drive away.

It is located in Hollofield Area of the PVSP.

You will have to call this 800 number if you want to reserve a spot for camping for the weekend.

Jay Gates, the primary host of the tournament

will be staying at the campground and he will ensure that the arrangements of letting the staff there to be aware that we want deaf only site to be away from the hearing people,

so we can have our fun all weekend. :-)

Here are the Directions:

NORTHEAST STATES: (New England, NYC)

Take I-95 SOUTH to Baltimore,

Maryland then get on I-695 WEST

towards to I-70,

then take I-70 WEST (7 Miles) Exit right on Marriottsville Road,

Go NORTH on Marriottsville Road for 5 miles,

McKeldin Area of PVSP is on your right.

PITTSBURGH & WEST:

I-70 EAST towards to Baltimore,

Maryland, Exit right at Marriottsville Road,

Turn LEFT on Marriottsville Road,

Go NORTH for 5 miles,

McKeldin Area of PVSP is on your right.

WASHINGTON METRO AREA & SOUTH:

Go NORTH on I-95 towards Baltimore, Maryland,

Get on I-695 WEST

towards to I-70, then take I-70 WEST (7 Miles)

Exit right on Marriottsville Road,

Go NORTH on Marriottsville Road for 5 miles,

McKeldin Area of PVSP is on your right.

DIRECTIONS FROM McKELDIN AREA TO HOLLOFIELD AREA CAMPGROUND:

turn left on Marriottsville Road from McKeldin Area.

Go SOUTH on Marriottsville Road to Route 40 EAST,

(you will pass I-70 bridge to get there)

after you pass Route 29, the Hollofield Area is on your right.
