Description:
The Sky Raiders finding that their world was doomed deposed their democratic government that failed to identify and solve their problems.
They began a hasty, crash program to build "homeworld", an asteroid world for all of their peoples.   Ten years later the remaining
 population was safely located on the asteroid world.  This enormous world hurled itself into the void as their world died. 
Not having a planned relocation site the inhabitants began doing whatever was necessary for their race to survive.   They began the raiding
of systems and worlds without remorse or concience. Their leadership was a charismatic facist ruthless beast.  When the raiders met the
technically superior race, they requested assistance in finding a homeworld. The zenophobic society refused and were
soon crushed under the pressure of the huge asteroid ship's military.
The Sky Raiders have upgraded they original vessels and were eventually building raider scouts while upgrading internal systems. 
Raiding and taking became a way of life.   During the First Imperium a large battlefleet was assembled to drive off or destroy the worldship.
After several heated battles the Raiders moved disappeared and moved into the history books.  It had several 1 million ton resource ships
and 100dt landers in its inventory.   After centuries revolution resulted in a collapse to the "homeworld" government and divisions between
the billions of Sky Raiders. Civil War, Accidents and Disease have all but destroyed the world ships' residents.  Less that 100,000
decendents of the raiders still live on the vessel and their technology level has dropped to an average of 6. This has over 9 billion additional
tons available for cargo or fuel.  The internal design was modular.  The planetoid has a internal armour of 1 and a forward/ aft dual PA spinal
mount.  There are higher tech upgrades throughout the vessel including; nuclear dampers.

Description:
The Sky Raiders' Resource Freighters are "do it all" type vessels. The ship can convert to fueler, cargo, or personnel deployments. 

The fueler missions include the option of using 20km of 1m flexible piping. The raiders skim the upper atmosphere and the fuel goes
directly to the asteroid in orbit.  This took a toll on the flexible piping. It often required repairs and is thoroughly checked after a refueling.
The production of the pipe is 10MCr per kilometer and masses 5dt per kilometer.
  • The pilot skill roll has a DC 20.  
  • The piping is actually attached to the asteroid and the fueler breaks loose in a failure.  
  • Refueling the ship on an in-system refueling project requires 123 trips for all ships without the piping.
    • The piping although requires 50 ships and takes 20 hours. 
The refuelers can also drag ice asteroids or other minerals into the maul of the asteroid homeworld for easier processing.
