1) Players get choice from 3 formats of Start Islands, each with a mixture of industrial, plains, and mountains, and each having benefits/vulnerabilities.  Start Islands have 55 total sectors with uniform resources.  6-10 sectors of water between start islands.

2) Gold only in mountains, so banks will not be primary sources of runaway cash.  Gorenew enabled.

3) Market is enabled, but the time to sell is equal to one-update period to reduce "Market Abuses".  Trade, however, has about a one-half-update period to allow for Tech Toys to be traded.

4) There are expansion islands, players will have to search for them.

5) No food.  This reduces micromanagement and removes an early fodder indicator.

6) Rolling Avail, with 333 roll-over.

7) Tech at log base 2.25, all bleed (50%).

8) Game code is standard 4.2.16 with standard units/planes/ships lists, but units have 1/2 mob gain and 1/2 max mob from standard.

9) Deity will NOT be playing.

10) countries start with 4 sanctuaries, to get the game started quicker

11) home continents come with a 100% centrally located fort (with 10g 50s)

12) Deity will not ask for player's "rank", as I will be treating all players equally.

13) Deity is requiring a minimum of 8 players for the game, this is so that players who think that they might want to play, but don't want to get stuck in a tiny game will have an out in the event that the minimum game roster is not met.

This is a nice safe and protective map.
40 industrial,
10 plains
5 mountains
This map is a little more adventurous, but still fairly safe.
40 industrial
10 plains
5 mountains
This map is risky, but you get 5% extra industrial sectors in exchange for that risk. Also, distribution may be tricky.
42 industrial
8 plains
5 mountains
Deity Credentials:  Bungholio has been playing actively for approx 7 years.  He has a good understanding of game balance and interest in designing the game for fairness.
players must select one.  failure to select will result in a random selection.
NOTE: YOUR ACTUAL MAP MAY ROTATE +/-60degrees OR FLIP 180degrees or BOTH.
Here's the start islands for all you WinAcer's:
20 COUNTRIES ARE REGISTERED:
Anguiron     beep        Cincinnati     Darkness
Euforia      Fodderton   Gemini         Howard
Aquitaine    Limbo       Seven          nuke_em
Perdition    Ricin       Rook           Savoia/Dorsai
Shakespeare  Trantor     twistle        Wicked
Here are some additional notes for all players:

1) The game is hosted on a dedicated box for the game.  The server, DSL modem, and 10/100 switch are all on a 500VA UPS, to help ensure minimal downtime with the game.  I don't have a static IP address, so I'm using one of those dynamic IP mappings, through a service at www.dyndns.org.   In the (rare) event that my  DSL modem  has to be rebooted,  the dotted quads  IP address will change.  If a new IP address happens,  it may take several  minutes to propagate to your realm.  One thing to do is to try a nslookup service, such as: "http://www.kloth.net/services/nslookup.php" and enter the addr: "sheepfarm.game-host.org" and  scroll down and see if it has a new IP address there.

2) Because the game is running on a Win2K system, some of the info files have  had their names  slightly altered.   Info pages such as "Attack" have changed  to "cattack" to  distinguish them from their lower-cased cousins.  Just try to remember to put a "c" infront of info pages for commands that start with a capital letter which also would have one with a lowercase letter.

3) I have an  assistant deity, Ski, who will  be joining me to help keep order in the PettingZoo. Ski is a well respected player in the empire community and is getting his first taste of deiting here, so everyone please be sure to abuse him well.

4) In the event that we have unbroken countries, I wish to announce my policy of what  I plan to do about  them.   In the  interest  of keeping the game on schedule and keeping it balanced,  I've decided that I would "run" those no-show countries for the first 3 updates, while looking for replacement players.   If I don't find a replacement within that time,  I will then neuter those start islands into something similar to the expansion islands.

5) Starting on July 10th, the Saturday update will be dropped from the schedule, to allow everyone to spend time with the wife, pets, and family.  I'll take an in-game vote as to whether the Wednesday update should be dropped too at that time.

6) Yes, there are expansion islands available.

7) No, food is not required.

8) Yes, there are sheeps here.

Have a great game!  Happy Shagging :)
