Cooling in Cancun

When you have three rings already it's easy to be relaxed. However re-aligment presents a new challenge for the Outlaws will they rise to it? We went down to see what's up in the fun and sun to find out:

Alright I am here in cancun with Pat the head man of the franchise and a wba legend

A legend I can only hope to become

I wanted to ask you first are you at all put out by the attention given the new owners in new york and charlotte I Mean you have 3 WBA titles and some act like they are gods.

These guys deserve the attention! It is truly great to have them back among us here in the WBA...Marc and Sam could easily have the three titles instead of me. I think I was more lucky than anything...I think soon someone will have three titles, but what Marc accomplished (3 straight 70 wins season) will never be matched, in my opinion.

There is a team now in Canada and you are from there is there any thought of picking up and moving the franchise back home? Although seeing those girls on the beach i'm not sure why I even asked that.

I have seriously though about moving the franchise in either Québec or Montreal, but it wouldn't be good business! Like you said, players would choose the warm weather and the beach life of Cancun before the Canadian winter and Canadian taxes.

Right in fact if you looking for a media person I can give you my agents number. But will leave that til after. You find yourself in the new southern division your thoughts about your new rivials?

I like Capetown's chances to claim the division title. They lost a good backcourt in Chuck Henderson and Scott Lio but managed to sign Kelvin Davidson and Michael Kutak. I dont know what Charlotte will look like, but I know Sam is one of the better GM's in the league and he will have a very good team soon. I hope I can still get to number one, but it will be a tough battle.

Being in this enviroment how do you keep your team focused on basketball?

I dont, I can't, it impossible...Guys party, have fun and spend free hours on the beach, its Cancun! Its all part of the fun of playing here...But I am still expecting them to be professionnals and show up to practice, work hard and give 110% of their abilities. I pay them good money for that...Maybe I should move to Canada? I just try to keep my guys around and hope they get tired of partying...so they can concentrate on basketball! Did that make sense? Man I went to bed at 4 am this morning...

So who looks good? I mean on your team heading into camp.

I have big hopes for Reed Moses. In fact, he will be the starting center this season. That move will send Kent Mercer to power forward and Scott Nicholson to the bench. With more than 60 millions invested in Mercer this offseason, we think the move to the four spot will benefit his career. We wont have much depth this season so im hoping our guys avoid injuries and stay healthy. And of course expect Parker Mason to once again lead the show and be the best point man in the world.

On to some league matters. I think the league meetings should be here in Cancun. I meant to say that Commisioner has promised a tighter called WBA you have any concerns about that?

The league meetings should always be here. I meant to say that I trust our commissioner, he has always made the right calls to improve the WBA. I have faith in him and know he will do whats best for the league. As for the effects on my team, I have three rings, I dont care.

Right well it has been a long offseason again being here what do you care but many issues and debates have come up your thoughts as we move forward?

Again, I reiterate my faith in Rondall Reynoso. I like the league the way it is, maybe we need some slight adjustments, but all sems to be pretty good. I like the influx of good owners in the league, I think that is great and will help with the longevity of the WBA. I believe we might need more Canadians to make this league stronger, but hey.

Just two more questions than I can go hit on that blonde over there. I mean hit the road for more interviews. Anyway What team are you glad to see gone from the west and what team are you not happt to see in the west? if any?

That blonde is my girlfriend, shes pissed because that interview is too long...But the brunette in the corner tahst looking at you...What was I saying? I am not happy to see up-and-coming Sacramento, they made some solid moves this offseason and will only make the western coference that much stronger. I am pretty happy to see Paris leave for the east, they will win it all this season, I think.

My apolgies, but tell her to be quiet you own a pro sports franchise your loaded. Anyway this is the last question. to avoid biasis what team do you see winning the east? and does your girlfriend have a sister?

Paris! They have a very balanced squad, the best rebounding team in the WBA. Point guard might be their only concern, unless Meyers develops quickly...In the West I have to go with Oregon. They are the champs, they still have Lou. Nope but my girlfriend has two very handsome brothers though

Well we are done here if you EVER and I men EVER want to be interviewed again please let me know

no problemo, and hey, like him or hate him, Brad IS a sexy beast.actually, hate him or dislike him would be the appropraite words to use

I agree with the beast part I was in salt lake already. At least you showered before your interview

And I did not try to bring you to my place

Thank you Pat this was fun all the best this season

Thank you Greg that was fun
