The Big Book of Sex

It was a special day for Moot. His wise mentor and caretaker, Cheez, was taking him on his first extraplanetary trip. Walking to the Hall of Mirrors, Moot recited all he had studied of the planet they were to visit, “The dominant species is a limbed, Carbon-based, cellular, monocephalic species at Stage 4 in general development. They call themselves Humans, and their planet is Earth. They are dually sexual, and Sex is the 3rd Law in their planet’s Sphere of Influence. That is why we are visiting this planet, no?”

“Hrmmrr, yes. Sex is a massively influential law on their planet. Parthenogenesis is a primitive form of reproduction on Earth, while the opposite is true here, yes? Being the 3rd Basic Law of Earth, it is the basis for all their cultures, actions, etc. Here we are, yes?”

Arriving at the Hall of Mirrors, they were led to a massive chamber with reflective crystals arrayed in endless rows. In a few seconds, their wills materialized on Earth, in light, invisible bodies.

“Easy trip, yes, little Moot?” said Cheez, as they floated hundreds of feet above a crowded, sky-scraper covered city. “Now is the time for your learning. Power is the first derivate of sex. Powered by the libidinal drives, humans idolize being the best, or at least being better or good enough. Much of their progress has come about from the simple directive of being at a more advantageous point in any situation than their peers and rivals, so as to, in the basic sense, be able to reproduce and take care of their defenseless offspring with greater ease. Constant evolutions in their technologies, arts, societal structures are heavily defined by this aim for superiority.”

Moot asked, “How about leaders? Leaders must be servants, no?”

“Even that is influenced by sex. True, a good leader is a servant, but, generally speaking, their leaders are in it for selfish, sexual reasons. Leadership goes hand-in-hand with power on Earth. The ‘top dog,’ as they call it, can ‘get around’ easily. That is the base incentive for most leaders, even if they are unaware of it. They are very unaware of themselves, you must keep that in mind. It does not matter that their most powerful leaders demonstrate this quite blatantly. Recent leaders of this particular city and its sister-cities -a nation- had sex ‘scandals.’ The masses were hypocritically shocked, and enthralled, by the fact that their leaders had sex with their servants, ‘loo-inskees,’ or highly beautiful women, ‘mohn-rows.’ As if the drive for power was not related to sex! They observe it in other endemic, more primitive species. Their simian cousins, for example, are observed and understood in their sexual messes. Why, I remember this story I was told by a human scientist I met on my last trip to Earth, that her monkeys were fighting for sexual power. Two males would fight to see who would be leader, which had the advantage of mating with whatever female he wanted. The balance of power would rest on the 3rd male, who did not strive to be leader, but was able to mate with any of the females, because both leader males would allow him, hoping to have his support. They also know of sharks, too, yes? The largest male shark in a certain oceanic region could easily mate with any of the local females, while the smaller males had to gang up and rape females... It’s like this with humans, too, but, usually, more complex.

“Sexual derivates manifest as war, particularly in the males. Masculine domination drives them to kill each other. It’s interesting that they, ignorant as always, tend to regard sex as a separate aspect of life. Here, they have other evidence to show them the relative truth. Testosterone increases in males during wars. This hormone increases aggression/masculinity. And the hilarious thing is that they consider war-rapes as unacceptable actions, while the violence is applauded and justified with stupidities. Their military is the sexual system, crystallized. The leaders are catered to, the inferiors must scrounge about for what they can get, women are raped, rivals are crushed. The winning side of a war is usually sexually better off. They may have a new slave population, income source, etc. Even human weapons are phallic in nature, not only in dominating purpose but also in design.

“Of particular importance in their sexually-oriented lives is currency. Their economic systems are the result of the same domination drives. The more money and wealth one has, the more attractive one can be. This is because of the ability to support offspring. Among the many disturbing results of the importance of wealth, is the fact that rich, decrepit old humans can have sex, if they are physically able to, with young, attractive humans, who want wealth. A disturbing corruption, yes? Corporate wars happen, with the same purpose as common wars, but on financial battlefields, with rich CEO generals and poorer foot- soldiers, who must often settle for a piddly version of the quest for sexual prestige, and not get their hopes or ambitions fueled. Another example is that the wealthy males hire female escorts to show their prestige... All is sexual. But humans are a very unaware species, yes?”

After flying unseen through offices and business branches/forts and military installations, Moot asked if it was only the males that created this mess. “Not at all,” replied the learned Cheez. “Both sexes are responsible for everything no individual is responsible for. Men don’t do ‘most of it,’ but ‘more of it.’ In the most basic sense, men are the actors in life, while women are its driving essence. I must also explain that as derivates of the 3rd Law, power, wealth, & domination can become corrupted. That is, the original incentive, that of reproduction and protection of offspring, can become subservient to the actual methods employed. It’s very disturbing to see someone obsessed with money or political power, and not with the opposite sex.”

“And do they work and fight all the time, like bugs?”
