    • The Teddy Bear Drive is underway! We need more bears. As of today, no bears have been received! We need more participation, more new bears (not used). The last day for turn in is Friday, March 11.

    • For Teenwork, Angie has raised $264 toward her $300 regular, making it a $36 balance. Good job Angie!

    • It is not too late to sign up for the San Diego Youth Conference! For more information, please ask Sam Bequema at phone number (760) 726-1340 ext. 1574. Applications are with Mrs. Roybal.

    • Senior Goodbye Banquet will be held either on May 13 or May 20. A committee of underclassmen is needed to make this banquet a good one for our Seniors! Certificates will be made for our graduates and FNL Scholarships will be presented there. Congratulations to all the Seniors!
      • FNL scholarships - we may have $1,000 to work with. You must be a Senior this year and a member (you do not need to be a leader!) of the club. The money will be split among those who apply. For applications, please see Mrs. Roybal soon. A deadline is not set, but do not wait on this opportunity.

    • Spring Jam is this weekend, from today until Sunday, March 6. Have fun staff members Jennifer Palisoc and Stehpanie Martinez.

February 14-20, 2005

    • Six Flags Magic Mountain available slots are going fast!
      • There are only 6 spots open to anyone else who wants to join the fun! Spots will go fast, please see Mrs. Roybal in room Z-10 soon if you want to come along!

    • Seat Belt Challenge is in the works. No dates have been set for this event. This program consists of a random day where people will observe the use of the seat belt by teenage drivers coming into the Vista High school parking lot. Observations will be recorded. In a week's separation, another observation will take place. We will be competing with other high schools, and whichever school improves their seat belt usage the most within that week wins! Remember, wear your seat belts!

    • There will be an "Every 15 Minutes" Assembly this year. The date has not been announced.

    • A D.U.I. event will be held at Rancho Buena Vista High School sometime in the future. The event consists of an road obstacle course with impaired vision goggles. Keep an eye out for this one.

  • Feb. 15- This marks the first day of VHS FNL's website on the internet! The current URL address of this site is temporary, since it will be on the school server later on. Any suggestions for improving the site is welcomed. To give suggestions, please send your proposal to E-mail address jayp21@hotmail.com. Enjoy! Courtesy of John Paul DePerio, year of 2005.

    • On Feb. 11th, FNL held a Rush Cleanup after school from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM. Even in a down pour of rain, volunteers still showed up to help the cause. We would like to thank all those who have participated! Thank you Anthony Dupuis, Alyssa Sandoval, Jennifer Palisoc, Jennifer Juarez, Erendica Baltazar, Ibrihim Rahman, Seth Mueller, Jessica Resendiz, Chelsea Ware, and John DePerio!

    • Feb. 4th was the Brengle Music Showcase, which was a huge success! 350 people paid and 400 people attended.
