April 18-24, 2005
- Apr. 22
- Please R.S.V.P. for the Senior Banquet Dinner asap! We need them in by Friday, May 13, a week before the actual event on Friday,
May 20 (the day of Senior Exhibition; no school except for Seniors). No extension for R.S.V.P. is possible because the food needs to be
ordered (catered Greek food!) and planned out like how many people are attending etc. It will be from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Brengle Terrace
Recreational Center. Come and celebrate with us as we honor our graduating seniors with a catered Greek dinner, awards, and fun games.
Seniors eat FREE!! It costs $10 for non-seniors. Hope to see you there!
April 11-17, 2005
- Apr. 15
- Lanes have been reserved at the Vista Entertainment Center for a FNL Bowling Night. A show of interest is required if you wish
to come and have a fun time with us. It will be from 8:30 PM to 10 PM. Please bring $15 to $20. Lazer Tag will be available but that is an
additional charge.

to attend) will be out soon.
- Apr. 14

- Remember to buckle your seat belt for the Seat Belt Challenge. It can come today or even any morning in the next 11 days.
The inspection for student seatbelt compliance will be conducted by some of our very own FNL students and staff at the entrance of the
school. Again, wear your seat belts! Go Vista!
April 4-10, 2005
- Apr. 8
- The Seat Belt Challenge will be on a random day within April 11 to April 22. The challenge consists of observation of
students who are driving into the school on one random morning. This is a contest against RBV so buckle up and keep safe! "It
takes 3 seconds to put on your seat belt. Dead is forever..." Seat belts reduce the likelihood of fatal and serious injury!
- The Goal: To Raise awareness and promote safety belt use on and off school grounds
- The Challenge: Office of Traffic Safety and FNL will judge seat belt compliance rates between VHS and RBV.
- The Reward: The winning school will receive a Live DJ performance and other prizes!
- There will be a Barbecue at Brengle Terrace Park for the VHS staff only from 11 AM to 4 PM. We need volunteers to
help serve at the barbecue. See Mrs. Roybal in Z-10 to volunteer.
- Next week I am planning to move this VHS FNL website to a new URL address. It will be on the VHS school server. The new address will be http:www.vista
highschool.org/fnl.

- Seat Belt Challenge is in the works. No dates have been set for this event. This program consists of a random day where
people will observe the use of the seat belt by teenage drivers coming into the Vista High school parking lot. Observations
will be recorded. In a week's separation, another observation will take place. We will be competing with other high schools,
and whichever school improves their seat belt usage the most within that week wins! Remember, wear your seat belts!
- There will be an "Every 15 Minutes" Assembly this year. The date has not been announced.
- A D.U.I. event will be held at Rancho Buena Vista High School sometime in the future. The event consists of an
