This crumbling stone mansion on Peterboro St. is the old James Scott Mansion (who donated a fountain at Belle Isle). There is quite a story about one side not having windows as he couldn't stand some of the big wigs in politics and they lived behind him or something. If you notice at the Belle Isle fountain the city put his name on the back to irk him. He was a wild bachelor back in the day. The house was later turned into apartments and of course has decayed over the years. Joel Landy, owner of the Addison and the Walker Brothers building (new lofts next to the Addison) just bought that beautiful castle and I hear he is going to restore it into condos (WOW that's gonna be some work). Thanx to JYogi for the info!
