BRISBANE actor  flew into Melbourne the week after graduating from school last year to scout for work.

The 18-year-old had a return flight booked, giving herself just three weeks to see whether she wanted to make a permanent move south.

But in a moment most actors would die for, she auditioned for and was offered an ongoing role in Neighbours as Kate Ramsay.

She previously had guest roles in H2O: Just Add Water, Sleepover Club (when she was 12) and Blue Heelers, has settled quickly into the close knit "family" of Neighbours actors.

She now shares a house with former Gold Coast actor Margot Robbie, also 18, who plays Donna Freedman on the soap.
