The Youth for the World(YFTW) was lead by Pastor Hernes Abante. The youth went out and sang in the Philippines in different Churches and schools and at the same time they enjoyed themselves by visiting at different sites. A handful of the youth went last year for two weeks and plan to go again, their departure is on July 11, 2005. They're planning to stay there for three weeks and while they're there the youth is going to take a tour and get a chance to meet the President of the Philippines.
The Youth for the World TeamOn July 26, 2004, some of the youth of I.B.B.C. left for the Philippines for their first annual Youth For The World trip. The purpose Youth For The World team is to visit a certain country once a year and lead countless souls to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The two-week trip was a fun and educational experience. We were able to see the salvation of many
souls and still had time to rest and enjoy the philippines. I was truly blessed by the testimony of
other youth members we were able to meet in the philippines and the friendships we developed. The
trip blessed my heart. I encourage those whowant to grow spiritually to join and enjoy seeing the
salvation of countless souls.

Hi, my name is Jonah Arines and I’m part of the Y.A.F.C. ministry. I'm here to give a testimony of the mission trip to the Philippines. In the Philippines, I learned a lot of valuable things that I realized in life. Like for instance, I saw people begging for food, living in poverty, children sleeping in the streets, and people suffering.
Seeing all this made me realize not to take things for granted and that I should thank God for
all of the many things especially the little things in life. I personally was blessed by the people
in the Philippines by seeing how they live everyday. When the Y.F.T.W. sang at a high school and I
had to sing a solo, I was overwhelmed too see all the young people listening attentively to the
message of the song. I felt God using me as a blessing for other young people. It was a great
feeling and experience to be there and hopefully there are more mission trips to come.

The youth for the world team went to the Philippines July of last year. We had a very busy schedule in out two weeks stay in the Philippines, but it was a successful and blessed trip. We traveled going to different places almost every day even though it was very tiring for us because of the busy schedule we had, but still I can say that we enjoyed it knowing that we went there not to have a vacation but to serve the Lord.
We had the privilege to meet a lot of young people in many different Churches that we went to, and some of them became close to us in so much so that when we left the Philippines it was kind of hard for us to leave them. We also sang many different songs, and we presented some skits in some if the Churches that we went to. We also went to this one public school in the Philippines, which we felt popular for the first time because after we introduced ourselves and sang some songs they made us sign autographs, it was a funny experience though but we really enjoyed it.
Our pastor, Pastor Hernes Abante, also gave a short message for the students and also for the teachers almost the whole school praying and accepting the Lord Jesus Christ in their hearts. We learned a lot of different things and different lessons in that trip. The way how other people in the Philippines are so content for what they have that even though they don’t have any money to use to ride a bus or a jeepney to go to Church still they won’t consider that as a reason for them not to go to Church and worship the Lord because they have the willingness to the Church. We have all the resources here in the US, we have cars to use; we don’t have to walk to go to Church, but sometimes we still fail to attend Church and come out with a lot of excuses.
The food that we waste here, a lot of us here are so ungrateful to God because we don’t want the food that we have in our home that we want something else, we want a bigger house, we want this, we want that, we most of the time complain, but other people in the Philippines they don’t have anything to eat, and you’ll see some of them in the street specially the kids begging for food, and they don’t have a home to stay which only sleep in the street. If you will only see them; I’m sure that you will just look up and cant stop but thank the Lord for what he has given you. If only we will realize how different we live our lives here in the US compare how the other people in the Philippines live their lives in poverty not only in the Philippines but I know in some other countries as well.
The very purpose of our mission trip in the Philippines was to minister to other young people and win souls
for the Lord, not only to win the youth but also the adults and children. We were so victorious in our trip
that God gave us the victory because some of us just won their first soul to the Lord during our saturation
in some of the places in the Philippines. It was really one of the best experiences for some of the youth of
IBBC had experienced in that mission trip. The joy that we had in our hearts, and I know we will always have
in our hearts knowing that we avail ourselves to be use of God in that mission trip, We are blessed and
thankful to God and also for our Pastor and to those people who made it possible for us to be a part of the
Youth for World Mission Trip in the Philippines last year. To God Be All the Glory!
