The first time I played this game was in 2001.
I was visiting Japan, and my cousin lent me a Play Station and some games.
FFVIII was the last game I decided to play, actually.
I wasn't into any RPG's at the time, and I didn't even know what Final Fantasy was.
But when I started to play, I wished I started it earlier.
The first thing that amazed me was the computer graphics (CG).
I always wanted to be a computer graphics designer, and that opening scene just moved me.
After I saw that, I was like "I WILL make something like this one day."
The first time I played, i thought there were only 3 GFs (Shiva, Ifrit, and Quetzalcoatl).
I didn't use much DRAW coz i didn't know anything about the junctioning system. lol
I got up to the 3rd disk like this, until my cousin told me that there are heaps more GFs,
and heaps more magic that i should draw to make the characters stronger.
So, I started again from the start. lolz
Well, anyway, so in the end, before i came back here to Australia, I cleared the game 2 times.
The first time i cleared it, i was really moved by the ending FMV coz it was really hard beating Ultimisia.
But the second time, it was pretty easy so it was like "huh? already?"
About the Guardian Force, Eden, I obtained it by beating Ultima Weapon in the Deep Sea Research Center.
So I was asking my friend, why can you get it agian in Ultimisia's castle,
when he said that he couldn't believe that I beat Ultima Weapon.
He was even more surprised when I said "The first time, I accidentally killed it before drawing Eden."
Is Ultima Weapon supposed to be really hard to beat??
Yeah, well, at first, i didn't like Squall all that much.
He's not my type, and he was so... unsocial and cold-hearted...
I was shocked when i heard that he was Laguna's son, coz i luv laguna so much...
I was like "but..but... their personality is so different~~ no~~~~." lol
But yeah, it was really touching when Rinoa and Squall were hugging in that Ragnarok...
And isn't it so sweet that they kissed at the very end of the ending FMV...lol
Well anyway, I really loved the game.
So I decided to make a site on Final Fantasy VIII. (on the first day of 2002!)
I know this game is pretty old now, with FFX and FFXI coming out,
But there must be people like me who still like FFVIII.
