Overview

Produced at the Zeon Duchy's California Base during the latter weeks of the Universal Century Era's One Year War, the MSM-10 Zock was one of the last amphibious mobile suits to be produced - though its form represented the shift from mobile suits to the new mobile armor concept.

The Zock, one of the last amphibious mobile suits, was a product of this philosophical shift. With the thrusters in its armor "skirt" and short, non-functional feet, the Zock could best be described as a hovering gun emplacement, capable of covering all angles of attack with its front-and-back symmetrical design. Three prototype units of the Zock were constructed. Two were assigned to the North Atlantic's "Manta Ray" submarine squadron, one of which was lost when its carrier was sunk by Federal Forces anti-submarine planes. The last of them serving under Commander Char Aznable's forces during his assault on the Federation's Jabrow base on 30 November UC 0079.
