Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are your condos made of?   Unlike the products you find in national pet stores and from other cat furniture manufacturers, our condos are made to last.  We use OSB, or wafer board (the same wood your house is made out of) for the bases, shelves, boxes, and other flat surfaces.  The poles and legs are made from 2x4s, 2x3s, or lodge pole pine.  We use NO cardboard or particle board unless YOU specifically request it.  Even the curved piece on the kitty loft is made from wood.

What color choices do you offer? Since we buy     carpet remnants (which helps lower our costs), Tom and I can look for any color you want, although some take longer than others to find.   Most people prefer neutral shades for their cat furniture so that it blends into any room.  These are also the easiest colors for us to find!  If  you want a specific color that  isn't frequently used (lavender, salmon, etc.), it will probably take us some time to find, but we will scour the ends of the earth for it.  Two-tones are very popular, and allow you to use color without it being overwhelming.

How do I place an order? Please, e-mail us or call us so that we can communicate with you directly.  We don't like forms or middlemen, because we want to make the condo of YOUR dreams, not a standard item that we mass ship to anyone.  It is important to us that we understand exactly what you want.  When ordering, we need to know 1) the model you want, or your custom order 2) the color(s)...and please be shade specific. 3) your city and zip code so we can give you an exact shipping amount, or if you want direct delivery.

How do I get a shipping quote?  Send Tom your city, zipcode, and the model you are interested in, and he will figure out the exact cost of shipping for you. What forms of payment do you accept?  Unfortunately, we're too small to take credit cards (unless by check).  When you're ready to order, we'll discuss how to mail us a CHECK OR MONEY ORDER for shipped items; for delivery, cash is also acceptable.

What about direct delivery? Even though we have moved, we will still be delivering to the Denver metro area for free on orders of $35 or more, and Cheyenne on orders of $100 or more.  Deliveries around this area (Colorado Springs, Vail, Longmont, etc.) are $10.  If we deliver to your house on the way to a cat show, the charge is between $10-20, depending on the distance off our travel path.  The major benefit of direct delivery is having your condo       already assembled and placed where you want it in your house.   We also do not ship the Command Post via UPS due to the difficulty in assembling it.  This model is only available by delivery, or at a cat show.

Which cat shows do you attend?  Our general rule is to stay within a       thousand mile radius of home, otherwise the gas money eats us alive! The furthest east we have gone is Indianapolis, although western Ohio and northern Kentucky are possibilities.  Tom promises to do a show SOMEDAY in California, but so far we've not made it there!  Occasionally when we want to travel, we take a "working  vacation" and schedule a cat show or make large deliveries in the area we want to visit.  I post everywhere we go (even if only to visit relatives) on our travel schedule .  How can I schedule a "special   delivery" outside of your normal travel area?  We make special       deliveries when an order is large enough to justify the expense of the trip.  Generally, we set the amount as $1,500 per thousand miles we drive.   That figure might sound staggering, but we've had groups of friends get together and make such an order; one customer put up a sign at her vet and before long had enough people organized for a delivery.  A special        delivery order doesn't have to be placed from one town/city, just a reasonable area.   For instance, if you want us to come to Louisville, KY, and you have friends in  Evansville, IN who would like to order a condo…..this  would obviously be en route to Louisville and    considered part of your order.   Tom and I love to travel, but unfortunately we can't afford to drive to Alaska to drop off a $200 order!  Speaking of Alaska , we would love to visit your magnificent state!  Sometime in the next year or so we want to attend a cat show near Anchorage…..if you're from the area, please talk to us about your shows and let us know if we would have any business in your area!           Thanks to all…..Cy
