HEAVY EQUIPMENT REPAIR

An ocean liner engine weighs 70,000 pounds
Heavy Equipment Repair ... What do we mean by "heavy"? How about a diesel engine capable of pulling a 400 ton payload? You can find one of these "under the hood" of most locomotives. Or, maybe you're more interested in fifteen-story cranes capable of lifting ten-ton objects.

Whether it's earth movers, tractor trailers, or just a garden tractor ... you will learn how it works. You will not only understand how diesel engines are different from gasoline engines, you'll also learn common problems and standard repair techniques.

So, if you enjoy working with your hands and learning how to analyze and repair engines, transmissions, and differential faults, see your high school counsler for more information about our Heavy Equipment Repair program.

Upon completion of this course, you will have the knowledge to test for ASE certification in all eight areas of Heavy and Medium duty trucks.
