By Chris Harwood They are back with a new band lineup (Axl Rose and Dizzy Reed still remain) and a new album! Finally, for the first time since "The Spaghetti Incident" was released in 1993, a new Guns n' Roses disc has appeared almost eight years later. The permanent absence of former G n' R members Slash, Gilby, Duff, and Matt has changed the lineup. Now the new G n' R band out with its first album entitled, 'Chinese Democracy.' I would think we have some G n' R fans in this school, so I advise them to buy this album. The new staff of Guns is composed of Axl Rose, lead vocals and piano; Dizzy Reed, keyboards; Paule 'Huge' Tobias, rhythm guitar; Tommy Stinson, bass guitar; the former guitarist from Nine Inch Nails, Robin Finck, lead guitar; and the former drummer of Primus, 'Brain,' on the drums. The album will be released in June, and will include the following songs: "Oh My God", "Chinese De cy," "This I Love," "Strange Disease," and "Never Had It." This 14-year-old and her horse, Norman, whose full name is Beavis Dundy Dee, recently scored very well in the Gulf Coast Show in Tampa, Florida. Sarah's score was the high-point all-around (also known as "Best of Show"). While at the show, Sarah was able to receive lessons from very experienced and well-known trainers from across the country. Sarah was chosen to attend the show by her trainer, Geno Spagnola, with whom she trains on weekends in Harwinton, Conn. Says Sarah, "I learned a lot from all the people there and it was a lot of fun." |
