Angels For America

Below are the rules for the exchange:

The Rules:
This exchange is open to all crafters of any age and any gender.
All ornaments must be handmade, they don't need to be crocheted, the only request I ask is they be handmade by yourself with effort put into it. For example last year I had received a stamp with a piece of yarn through the top for an ornament and it wasn't handmade and I made a crocheted angel for this person with alot of effort put into it. I am just saying make something you would be proud to receive yourself.

DEADLINE
The deadline for joining the exchange is October 15, 2001.
I will put you into a group of six and will notify you by email of the people in your group. You will be responsible to make 5 handmade ornaments and mail them to those in your group and in return you will receive 5 handmade ornaments as well.

DATE FOR MAILING
By December 1, 2001, you should mail out your ornaments to those in your group. You will also be able to correspond with the others in your group via email to talk about ideas, the exchange, and to exchange addresses, send thank yous, etc., etc.

JOINING:
Click on any snowman to send me an email put Christmas 2001 exchange in the subject line, and send me your name, mailing address, and email. I will then confirm with you, and you will be notified by email of the others in your group one week after the deadline for joining the exchange which will be October 22, 2001. Hurry up and join the fun before time runs out...

Hello and Welcome to my site. In light of the terror going on I have thought of what I can do to help, I know we all would like to do something to help all those families. Prayers yes and donating blood are good. I thought what else could I do, and I decided to collect angels, handmade, store bought, just an angel or two. I don't have much money so I can't donate money but I thought I would collect angels and then by Christmas I can send what I have to those survivors and the families of the victims. I will send them to the mayors and they can be in charge of how to get them to those who need them. I know this is a long shot, but I am willing to try and if it is only me making my angels then I will make as many as I can before Christmas and I will be proud to send out what I have made. We can send them a gaurdian angel. I hope you all will donate too. I know there are alot of nice people out there. I hope I haven't offended anyone but this is my way of giving to them and helping out. If you would like to donate an angel or 2, it will be greatly appreciated by those in need of some kind of comfort, you can send the angels to:
