Tiny Treasures Rabbitry

Hi, Welcome to 'Tiny Treasures Rabbitry'! My name is Heather Hoy and I raise Netherland Dwarfs. I am also experimenting with Fuzzy Lops and Californians. I have raised Netherland Dwarfs since 1995 and feel that I am getting quite good at it.

My parents, Mike and Debbie Hoy also own a Rabbitry called Shady Acre Rabbitry where they raise English Lops and Holland Lops. Click Here to Visit Their Site!

My foundation stock came from Susan Hooper and Getitia Mathney. I also have some Sellar bunnies too.

My rabbits eat a high quality ration of Show Rite rabbit feed and get a tsp. of Show Bloom on top daily. I find that the combination helps to keep them looking their very best.

PLEASE READ MY SALES GUARANTEE..IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!! THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!

The history of the Netherland Dwarfs is rather interesting. Dwarfs came to be when a Polish rabbit accidentaly crossed with a small wild rabbit in the Netherlands. The Dwarfs were popular long before British fanciers brought them to England in about 1948. The Breed was accepted by the ARBA in 1969. From then on out the Breed has been extremely popular.

For those of you who don't know what you should look for in a Netherland Dwarf the below is a description taken from the ARBA Guidebook

Netherland Dwarfs should be a short, compact animal with shoulders equal in width to the midsection and hindquarters. The animal should round over the body with well filled hindquarters. The head should be round in all directions, set on as short a neck as possible. The Dwarfs ears should be well-furred, short, erect and of good substance(thick). The eye of the Dwarf rabbit should be bold, bright and round. Fur should be of roll back nature (slowly rolling back into place). A senior buck or Doe should weigh no more than 2 and a half pounds. I like to keep mine at 2 pounds. If you have a Junior animal that weighs 2 pounds or more then it MUST be shown as a Senior regardless of age.

I almost always have a rabbit or two for sale because I am VERY picky about what I keep for myself. Many people ask about my prices. They vary depending on Color, Type, Sex and General Quality of the animal.

Below is a list of my Min. prices for each color group.

Prices are following this order: Jr Buck, Jr Doe, Sr Buck, Sr Doe, Pet(no pedigree), & 4H

Self--30-35-40-45-10-20

AOV--40-45-50-55-15-30

Tan--30-35-40-45-10-20

Shaded--40-45-50-55-15-30
