Applicants will be critiqued the basis of personal attributes, academic record, evaluation of achievements, references, performance on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and personal interviews if granted by the selection committee. 


The minimum course requirements are as follows:


  • Eight Semester Hours of Inorganic Chemistry

  • Four Semester Hours of Organic Chemistry

  • Eight Semester Hours of Biology (with lab)

  • Four Semester Hours of Biochemistry

  • Eight Semester Hours of Physics

Microbiology, genetics, and physiology are courses that are not required but can insure a better chance of acceptance.  It is not necessary to choose any of the sciences as a college major.  Every applicant is required to take the MCAT.
