The College of Medicine Admissions seeks the highest quality applicants with regard to both academic credentials and personal attributes. In order to be admitted, applicants must meet the criteria established by the College of Medicine Admissions Committee.  Applicants must possess the personal attributes of, compassion, integrity, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills as well as the physical, intellectual, and emotional capacities to master the medical curriculum.  Applicants must be free of any substance abuse, addictions, and violent behavior.


The following sciences courses must be meet for admission into the College of Medicine:


  • One Year of Inorganic chemistry with qualitative analysis

  • One Year of Organic chemistry with laboratory

  • One Year of Physics with laboratory

  • One Year of Biology

  • One Year of a course in biochemistry or cellular and molecular biology is strongly recommended

Although there is no specific undergraduate curriculum or college major required the above mentioned science courses must be taken.  The MCAT must be taken to be eligible for application into the College of Medicine.
