Justin Claveria-tenor sax

Justin Claveria began studying sax at age twelve. While in high school he won several awards from the
International Association of Jazz Educators through high school jazz ensemble competitions and festivals.

In his senior year of high school, he won a scholarship to the Berklee School of Music in Boston Massachusetts
but decided to stay on the west coast and continue his studies at Santa Barbara City College.

During college, Justin continued to play in the jazz ensemble and continued to be recognized as an outstanding
jazz soloist winning numerous awards at various college jazz competitions and festivals.

In 1997, he entered the University of Southern California school of music. Justin continues to play all over
the west coast and has recorded on many albums and recordings, including work for Warner Brothers.

He is currently performing with FUNK INC, The Nate Birkey Jazz Qunitet and other projects including his own group Groovephonic.

Frankie Beverly and Maze, Pattie Labelle, Teddy Pendergrass, The Commodores, The Emotions, The Jacksons,
The Whispers, Tower of Power and many more?..
