SON
GOKU
Goku
(aka Kakarott) is rather naive and a good person at heart, qualities at
odds with the violent nature of his Saiyan-jin heritage. He is often
seen riding a yellow cloud, Kintoun, and as a child sported a monkey
tail. He begins his journey for the Dragonballs and along the way he
grows up, raises a family, learns about his past, and saves the world!
PICCOLO
With green
skin, regenerating limbs, and antennae, Piccolo was first introduced as
one of Goku's first enemies. From the planet Namek, Piccolo was also
after the Dragonballs, but ends up training Goku and later Goku'sa son
Gohan.
SON
GOHAN
Goku's
first son, Gohan surpasses even his father's strength and power level,
even though he is only half Saiyan-jin! He is taught by Piccolo, and
although he excels in martial arts, he lacks a love of fighting and
prefers scholarly pursuits.
VEJITA
Once
the Prince of the Saiya-jin, Vejita has kept his arrogance and conceit.
He is quite obssessed with being the strongest fighter, training
constantly to make himself a better warrior. He reluctantly joins forces
with Goku and his friends when a greater evil threatens the world.
TRUNKS
A
mysterious young man from the future or a baby in the present? The
mysterious "future" Trunks travels back in time to prevent
certain catastrophe by saving Goku's life. Meanwhie, "Chibi"
Trunks grows up as the best friend of Goten, Goku's second son.
KURIRIN
A
short little monk distinguished by six red spots on his forehead,
Kuririn is Goku's best friend, and trained with Goku under Muten Roshi.
He begins as one of the weaker fighters in Dragonball, but through
countless battles and growing self-esteem, he becomes one of the
strongest.
TENSHINHAN
The
telepathic, 3-eyed Tenshinhan was pretty powerful during the first
series, second only to Goku. Like other characters in Dragonball
however, he was reduced to a minor figure in the rest of the series.
YAMUCHA
Yamucha
"the Desert Bandit" is also another reformed bad guy. He is
painfully shy around girls, and wanted to collect the dragonballs to wish
for a girlfriend. He's often seen with Pooaru, his little flying feline
sidekick. He is a major character in the first series, but is more often
dead than alive in DBZ.
