Laurie had a perfect seat, can't you tell? LOL! She didn't have the nerve to take picture of Alexei when he was looking straight at her, but at least we get a lot of profile closeups! Click on the thumbnails to get the whole photo. The first three were absolutely monstrous so I took pity on those with slow modems, LOL...

"The Kleenex Story" is the story of four cowards, LOL... The day before, Daphne had noticed that the poor skaters seemed to be stuck using napkins from the snack bar (or somewhere, LOL) because they had no tissues. She felt sorry for them, so she said she would bring real Kleenex for them the next day - which she did, good person that Daphne is. Unfortunately, when it came to actually handing the Kleenex box to Alexei, all four of us were total chickens. It's a huge no-no to disturb the skaters and coaches while they are at practice, and even though we were trying to help out, none of us could find the courage to tap either Alexei, Tatiana, or Nikolai on the shoulder and offer the Kleenex box. But at the same time, we felt really bad that Alexei was still stuck with the red napkins. What to do! What to do! Finally, I handed the box to a lady who was sitting a seat away from Tatiana and asked her to put the box on the boards next to Alexei's skate guards, which she did. Unfortunately, Alexei probably thought the Kleenex belonged to the lady who put it there and never touched it, LOL...(sniff) I think I would have had the nerve to hand the box to Nikolai, who is the most approachable of the three at practices, but he was the farthest away from me. (sigh)

I think the Chinese characters mean "one turn" or if you really pushed it, "one barbarian" (LOL, but there are much better characters to use for "barbarian," so that's not likely...) but my Chinese has been shot to heck and back so don't quote me...

Ooh! Laurie, I think you were caught!
